Liberating……

Sunday, a day of rest and boy do we need it! We’ve had such a busy, physically exhausting weekend so far. All I want to do today is sit on the couch and rest, but we have some things that need to be done today so I can’t see that happening.

Friday Mike and I both took off from work for Connor’s school picnic at Knoebels Amusement Park. We had such a great time and even got Connor to go on a few rides he wouldnt go on last year. He still wont go near a rollercoaster, but we’re working on it. The weather held out for the most part, it rained twice; once when we were sitting down to eat and then at the end of the day when we were getting ready to leave anyway. It was a downpour and we had to wait it out under the pavillion for awhile until it stopped. Otherwise a great day!

On the way home we saw a rainbow, which was freaky, because we saw one at the same spot last year coming home from Knoebels!

We got home late, crashed and then had to be up really early on Saturday for the big yard sale! We started hauling stuff over to my parents yard around 7:00 am and people were showing up by 9:00. Mike and I made over $300, selling our crap! It was mostly old toys and some clothes, VHS tapes, CD’s. We sold alot of stuff for $1. Everything that was left was loaded into my dads truck and dropped of at the Salvation Army. NOTHING was coming back into the house….It feels so good to have all that stuff gone from the house. I keep eyeing up stuff for the next sale….After we cleaned up we were pretty much too exhausted to move, so we ordered a huge pizza and we all fell asleep before 10:00 pm. We probably could have made more $$ but we were more interested in getting rid of the stuff. Anything we made was a bonus. If someone was interested, we’d take what they were willing to pay. Mike was selling boxes full of books for $2! I’ve already started a box for the next yard sale already…..Connor better hide his toys….

Dang, you all did great on your yard sale. Might have to do one of those myself. :)
